Championship Wrestling from Hollywood (CWFH) has issued the following press release about the final TV appearance of William “Paul Bearer” Moody:
PERCY PRINGLE’S LAST TV APPEARANCE
Hollywood, CA (March 8, 2013) – William Moody, legendary pro wrestling television personality passed away this past Tuesday in his hometown of Mobile, AL. He was 58. Moody is best known for portraying Percy Pringle III and Paul Bearer. His career stretched four decades and he entertained millions of pro wrestling fans worldwide.
In late 2009, Moody started his relationship with Championship Wrestling from Hollywood (CWFH) where he appeared each week on LA KDOC-TV in Los Angeles. Moody’s “Percy Pringle” ushers his protégé Shaun Ricker to the ring for the very last time this Sunday at 1:00AM.
“It’s always difficult when a person passes, especially one on a weekly television program. His not being with us anymore is crushing, not just to the program, but also personally. Our crew is a very tight team and Percy was family. He was so looking forward to our future story plans and I’m saddened that we’ll not be able to carry them with him. He will be missed,” said CWFH Executive Producer David Marquez.
CWFH has over 100 episodes of the program on demand and has produced a special photo slide show of Moody’s time in the company available at www.hollywoodwrestling.com.
