At the annual ROTH Capital Partners meeting for potential investors in California, WWE CFO George Barrios painted a picture of WWE’s audience being completely opposite UFC’s audience during his presentation. Here is what he had to say…
“People always ask me, ‘Well, what about UFC? Are they a competitor? Are they taking a share?’ Look, UFC – I’ve been to an event. It’s a lot of guys, it’s a lot of cigars, and a lot of smoke.
“Our age distribution marries to the country. And if you go to a show, you really see this live. I have three daughters, so I go to a lot of ‘Disney on Ice’ events. It looks like our event – it’s a lot of grandparents, parents, and kids. And that’s why our composition is the way it is.”
