There were rumors on some websites today that Maria Kanellis was scheduled to induct Bob Backlund into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
The reports also stated that Kanellis was contacted about returning to the company for a proposed “Past Divas vs Present Divas” match at WrestleMania 29, but it doesn’t appear that match is happening anymore.
Maria tweeted the following in regards to those rumors:
“I love Bob Backlund’s work but I am not inducting him into the Hall of Fame. I’m sure it will be an amazing show but I am not involved.”
