Paramount Already Planning A Third G.I. Joe Movie

With the box office results in, it looks like it is good news for the Rock. According to Variety, due to the early box office success of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Paramount is already planning a third G.I. Joe film.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation opened with a total of $132 million, $51.7 million came from domestic theaters and $80.3 million from international ones. The film’s budget was less than $130 million, as compared to the $175 million budget of the first G.I. Joe film.

At this time, G.I. Joe: Retaliation is projected to make over $400 million worldwide. The first G.I. Joe film made a total of $303 million worldwide.
