WWE has signed two new indy talents to developmental contracts. The fist is Smith James, who posted on Twitter:
“The next 2 months will be my last indy shows for the foreseeable future (hopefully longer) as I was offered a WWE developmental contract.”
James is a protege of Taz’s and credited the TNA announcer’s finishing school with making it possible for him to get signed. Taz tweeted the following congratulatory message to James:
“official congrats to a future player in WWE, @BigGameJames12 pleasure training u & pleasure being friends with u! Kick ass bro!”
The second talent signed is referee Matt Bennett (not Mike), who began his career with Jersey All Pro Wrestling. He reported to developmental this week.
