As announced on RAW this week, Fandango has been pulled from this Sunday’s WWE Payback pay-per-view after suffering a concussion at last Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown tapings. The WWE website reports that Fandango passed his impact test backstage at RAW on Monday but still needs to undergo further testing later this week before he’s cleared to return. WWE.com posted the following: “Although Fandango still has tests to take, WWE management decided that in the interest of safety, he will not compete this Sunday at WWE Payback.”
With that being said, Paul Heyman announced on RAW that Curtis Axel will take the place of Fandango.
Also announced on RAW for WWE’s Payback pay-per-view on Sunday were The Shield (Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) vs. Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton for the tag-team titles. Kane will face Dean Ambrose for the United States title and Alberto Del Rio will face Dolph Ziggler for the World Title. Here’s the updated card:
