Backstage Update – CM Punk-WWE Retirement Rumors

Rumors began flying that CM Punk was retiring soon after a message he posted on Twitter yesterday. Punk, who has a habit of hinting that he will retire much sooner than anyone suspects, posted the following after the Detroit house show last night:

Thanks Detroit. I don't have many of these left in me. Off to DC and coffee with Lyle Preslar.

Punk is believed to be signed with WWE through the coming summer (and of course could sign a new deal), and no one within the company believes that the Twitter posting was any sort of indication that he is retiring in the immediate future.
