Backstage ‘Hulkamania’ Tour News: Attendance, Future, & More

— The 11/21 Hulkamania show at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia drew about 8,000. A disappointing number for local promoters that spent big money to bring in Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, and shilled out cash for the show’s production. The second show, on 11/24 in Perth, Western Australia, drew a reported 2,500 fans.

— The 11/21 Melbourne house show was taped for television in Australia. The event will be in a few weeks in prime time on One HD.

— The show was also taped for DVD release, presumably in both Australia as well as the North American market.

— In addition to the Hulkamania tour, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, The Nasty Boys, Jimmy Hart and Brutus Beefcake were also in Australia to film a pilot for a Hogan/Flair reality show for North America.

— The only merchandise sold at the shows was for Hogan. Imagine that.
