— As we reported earlier here on the website, TNA veteran Chris Sabin is parting ways with the company. The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion’s contract with the company expired, as his last official booking was the “One Night Only” pay-per-view taping on Saturday night in Orlando, Florida.
According to one source, TNA did make Sabin an offer to re-sign, however much like the AJ Styles situation, it was reportedly a low-ball type of offer, one that Sabin turned down.
Additionally, we can now report that Sabin has already started to reach out to independent pro wrestling promoters and is looking to begin taking bookings.
As noted recently, the next TNA veterans that could be on the way out of the company are Kurt Angle, Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian.
— Although initial reports claimed that Samoa Joe has been out of action with a concussion, the TNA star is denying these rumors. Joe tweeted the following about the reports:
Not injured please don't make up news if you don't have actual facts.
— Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe) April 11, 2014
We can confirm that Joe did suffer what was described as a “very minor” concussion during a match with Magnus in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 28th but it was not severe enough to keep him off iMPACT!. Joe is also the type of guy to never admit that he’s injured. The same goes for Kurt Angle. Joe has been taking time off recently to deal with a personal situation.
