Scott D’Amore, who currently works as an agent for TNA, recently had surgery on his shoulder to deal with an issue that had been bothering him.
The reaction to the change back to the 4-sided ring was a mixed one among TNA talent. No one knew that the change was happening and they only found out when they arrived at the building. The decision to make the change was made by Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.
There was serious talk of doing an angle where the 6-sided ring was destroyed on an episode of iMPACT!, but there was concern that the angle would not get over with the TNA fans, and it was dropped.

As of now, Shannon Moore and Jeff Hardy are not backstage at the show.
