Politico published a story on Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon being two of the largest “mega-donors” for the Republican party. Both McMahons have reportedly donated one million dollars to Republican candidates, party committees, and super PACs this year. This includes Karl Rove’s American Crossroads and TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts’ group Ending Spending.
The report goes on to state that Linda McMahon’s associates were surprised by her joining the class of mega-donors that includes Democratic environmentalist Tom Steyer and Republican moneymen Charles G. Koch and David H. Koch. Before Linda McMahon’s run for Senate, the most they had given to political campaigns was about $30,000 in 2006 and 2008.
