Even though The Rock said that WrestleMania 29 may be his last match, most within WWE expect him to wrestle again. His final match will likely take place at WrestleMania XXX in April 2014.
Before his injury, he was set to face Brock Lesnar at either SummerSlam or next year’s WrestleMania. As we noted earlier here on the website, while the relationship with The Rock is on thin ice right now, WWE is said to be hoping for him to return in October. Vince McMahon obviously wants to continue the business relationship and has opted against trashing his former heavyweight champion. The belief is that the CEO wants the Rock to return to work the Hell in a Cell pay per view, which is taking place in his hometown of Miami, FL.
