Goldberg congratulated NXT Women’s Champion Asuka on her “148th win in a row” on Twitter. Goldberg of course famously had a “173-0” streak in WCW, so it’ll be interesting to see if WWE has Asuka break that streak.
The Internet Wrestling Database lists Asuka’s W-L record as “148-3” currently, but those 3 “losses” include tag matches and fatal 4-ways, so not singles match losses where Asuka was pinned/submitted.
NXT TakeOver: Orlando is about a month away on April 1, where Asuka will face Ember Moon. It seems very possible that Ember Moon will take the title from Asuka, since she has held it for a while now and seems close to being called up to the main roster. If Asuka does beat Ember Moon, it’s probably very likely that she will beat Goldberg’s streak.
Congratulations @WWEAsuka on your 149th win in a row! #whosnext 次はどなたですか
