During a YouTube special hyping up this weekend’s Slammiversary event, Impact Wrestling revealed MMA fighter “King Mo” Muhammed Lawal will be making a special appearance at the event. He will be in Bobby Lashley’s corner for the Impact Heavyweight Championship match against El Patron. Impact previously announced Dos Caras will be in El Patron’s corner for the match.
As part of the company’s 15th anniversary celebrations, the mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer, announced the city will be officially celebrating July 5th as “Impact Wrestling Day.”
Impact Wrestling announced a match involving Mexican promotions AAA and CRASH will be among the card for Slammiversary. The match will be a Four-Way match for the Impact Tag Team Championship and involves champions LAX, AAA’s Drago & El Hijo del Fantasma (Lucha Underground’s King Cuerno), and two other teams to be announced later.
