Another Wrestler Leaves Impact Wrestling

Jessie Godderz is reported to have recently left Impact Wrestling. Godderz had been with Impact Wrestling since 2011 and was a two time TNA World Tag Team champion with Robbie E.


New Bruiser Brody Documentary to be Released Soon

Highspots announced they will be releasing a new documentary on the life and career of Bruiser Brody called “Wrestling’s Last Rebel” soon. The company also revealed the list of people who were interviewed for the documentary such as the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, Jim Ross, and Tony Atlus.

Among those interviewed in the documentary are myself, Bill Apter, Bobby Fulton, Abdullah the Butcher, Stan Hansen, Tom Prichard, Killer Brooks, Slick, Herb Simmons, Larry Matysik (who wrote a book on Brody), Barbara Goodish, Bret Hart, Ron Bass, Emerson Murray (who wrote a book on Brody), Ricky Steamboat, Tony Atlas (who was there essentially when he died), Jim Ross, Jimmy Hart and Manny Fernandez.


WWE’s Plan to Save Money on Traveling and Production Costs

According to the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, the WWE will be running more RAW and Smackdown shows from the same arena as a new way to save money on production and traveling costs. Besides saving money, the WWE believes running shows in the same location should also help improve interest and ticket sales for Smackdown. In terms of upcoming shows, the week of September 11th was announced to be having both RAW and Smackdown taking place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.


NJPW to Make G1 Climax Announcements This Sunday and Monday

New Japan Pro Wrestling is currently expected to be announcing the group blocks for this year’s G1 Climax tournament during Sunday’s Dominion pay-per-view event, according to the Wrestling Observer. NJPW is also planning on holding a press conference this Monday with the cards for both nights of the G1 Special in Long Beach, California expected to be revealed.
