News & Notes: Sami Zayn / Syria, WWE UK Update, Enzo, DJZ Cleared

Sami for Syria

Sami Zayn has been raising money for a mobile clinic that will provide medical services to people in Syria.

The campaign, Sami For Syria, is currently at about $41,000 of its $48,000 goal.

Sami posted this update for this great cause:

WWE UK Update

Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Wolfgang and Mark Andrews are being brought to the United States in a few weeks, according to Dave Meltzer. What role they’ll be used in is unknown for now.

Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate stole the show and had possibly the best match of the year at the last NXT TakeOver, so it’s possible that WWE may have them involved in a match at TakeOver Brooklyn.

Plans for WWE’s United Kingdom show are seemingly on hold, with WWE not providing any real updates since the UK special in May. There was word that they wanted to start taping in June, but that has obviously come and gone.

“The job that inspired Enzo Amore to become a WWE Superstar: WWE My First Job”

Enzo Amore talks about the moment that convinced him to pursue a WWE career in the digital series, “My First Job.”

He said his first job was at a bagel shop in Jersey, then he worked as a mover and some rich people in a mansion were rude to him, so he said to himself, “I deserve to be living in this mansion,” and that’s what he said “inspired” him to become a WWE wrestler.

DJZ Cleared to Return

GFW’s DJZ posted that he has been cleared to return to the ring after suffering a terrible-sounding “fractured colon” injury back in April at a show in Mexico.
