All charges against Rich Swann were dismissed this afternoon after prosecutors determined that there was “insufficient evidence” to move forward with the case, PWInsider is reporting.
The case stems from an incident in December where Swann was arrested and charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment (kidnappping) after an alleged altercation with his wife, Vannarah Riggs, who wrestles as Su Yung (currently in Impact).
Swann has denied being physical with his wife during the incident, and Yung has since posted positively about Swann on social media and they are reportedly still together.
After the incident, WWE immediately suspended Swann because of their zero tolerance policy for domestic violence.
With the charges dismissed, it would technically open the door for Swann to return to WWE, but we’ll see what they end up doing.
