Shinsuke Nakamura Injury Update

As noted before, Shinsuke Nakamura suffered an injury rumored to be related to an incident involving a police dog biting his leg at Monday’s SmackDown brand house show in California.

In an update to Nakamura’s injury status, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson confirmed the Wrestling Observer’s report of Nakammura suffering a leg injury due to a dog bite. Johnson reported that the injury occurred during a pre-show security routine at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California. While on patrol, a police dog stopped to sniff Nakammura and without any warning or provocation, bit him on the leg.

Johnson also reported that WWE pulled Nakamura from Monday’s house show as a medical precaution and was pulled from tonight’s episode of SmackDown due to not being medically cleared. Nakamura was also reported to be backstage during tonight’s episode of SmackDown still feeling sore from Monday’s incident.
