— The announced attendance for tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view was 16,685. The show was a legitimate sellout as I noted earlier.

— Among the names backstage at the Royal Rumble in Detroit were Umaga and Evan Bourne.

– Jimmy Wang Yang beat Paul Burchill in a dark match prior to the show going live on PPV.

– Randy Orton, the winner of tonight’s 30-Man Royal Rumble match, entered as the eighth participant and was in the match for 48 minutes and 27 seconds.
