» As noted earlier here on the website, the Edge vs. Big Show match that took place on RAW last week was originally scheduled as the main event for the 500th SmackDown! several weeks ago. Vince pulled it from SmackDown! and put it on RAW after getting mad at Michael Hayes for trying to book a more loaded SmackDown! with a major RAW vs. SmackDown! interbrand match on top. Vince made a point about how there are more important things going on right now than the 500th SmackDown!.
» One source said it should be interesting to see whether head Smackdown writer Michael Hayes takes his annual post-WrestleMania vacation this year. Hayes usually needs time to recharge his batteries, but this year, it is believed that Hayes will hold off on taking his annual vacation because he feels he’s not in good standing with Vince McMahon these days. The WWE Chairman of the Board has not been too receptive of Hayes’ storyline ideas in recent weeks as he quickly cuts him off during his pitches in meetings. Some believe McMahon lost faith in him after some suggestions he made for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view did not pan out as well as expected.
