— The Turtle Company, Inc. has sued WWE over children’s textbook covers. The lawsuit was filed on January 20th in the United States District Court of New Jersey. In the suit, WWE and ABC Corps 1-10, Inc. were served with a lawsuit that claims that WWE textbook covers that feature various WWE stars infringe on Turtle’s patent on “adjustable book jackets and the methods for making the jackets.” ABC Corps, Inc. is listed in the suit because they licensed WWE’s characters for the items. Turtle Company claims that they have been damaged by the product, and continue to be damaged as long as they are sold. They have requested an injunction be issued to prevent the continued production of the textbook covers and are asking for the maximum damages allowed by law, and that their attorney fees also be covered. WWE and ABC Inc, have until March 13th to respond to the suit.
