The Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan will be hosting events once again, starting on April 17th as the venue hosts a monster truck and motorsports show. Last year the venue was put up for auction, and the Triple Investment Group LLC purchased the building for the low price of $583,000. They plan to host between 6 and 8 events at this time. The Pontiac Silverdome hosted WrestleMania III back in 1987, which featured the big match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.
Shooting for Bob Saget’s Strange Days will take place at the Dragon Gate USA event in Phoenix, Arizona, but the backyard group the series previously filmed will not be a part of this. A source close to the series has stated that they will be bringing eight “wrestlers” to have a tryout prior to the March 27th DGUSA event. The talent chosen by the promotion will then appear in a segment involving Saget on that night’s show. They will also be shooting footage and interviewing fans during the day. The series, which will debut this summer, will see Bob Saget putting himself into various subcultures as they film the comedy/documentary style series.
KFC will be the official sponsor of the April Extreme Rules PPV.
Steve Austin will be making the following appearances to promote his DVD, Damage:
* Monday March 22nd at 12PM in Philadelphia, PA at FYE on Broad Street
* Tuesday March 23th at 6PM at FYE in Nyack, New York
