Gail Kim Denies Injury Rumors, HOFer’s Daughter To Stand Trial

UPDATED SATURDAY NOTE FROM RYAN CLARK: As a reminder, we’ve got a BIG night of free fights later tonight. On free HBO, we’ve got Devon Alexander vs. Juan Urango (WBC/IBF junior welterweight unification). On free Showtime, we’ve got Vic Darchinyan vs. Rodrigo Guerrero (WBC/WBA junior bantamweight championship). Then also for free on the Versus network for you MMA fans, we’ve got the WEC event which is headlined by Brian Bowles vs. Dominick Cruz. The card also features Miguel Torres vs. Joseph Benavidez and Jens Pulver vs. Javier Vazquez. That’s a good little card for WEC and a GREAT night of fights (and drinking!) as well. Three events head-to-head-to-head with each other tonight. There are no WWE or TNA pay-per-view events this weekend so it’s another Sunday night off. We’ll still be posting lots of backstage news though so be sure to check in! Have a great rest of the weekend guys and thanks for your continued support of the website. We appreciate it!!

— Gail E. Gagne, granddaughter of WWE Hall of Famer Verne Gagne and daughter of Greg Gagne, is set to stand trial on July 12 for two counts of third-degree criminal-sexual conduct for engaging in sexual acts with a 16-year-old student at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, MN. Gagne, who was 25 at the time, was working at the school as a teacher, basketball coach and weight room supervisor. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

— As noted yesterday here on the website, the final iMPACT! on Thursday nights averaged a 1.14 cable rating off of hours of 1.26 and 1.02, which is equal to the rating the show scored last week. iMPACT! opened with a strong 1.31 quarter-hour and dropped consistently throughout the remainder of the broadcast with the final quarter-hour drawing a show-low 0.93 rating. From the start of the show to its end, iMPACT! lost 30 percent of its audience. That’s not good at all.
