Daffney suffered a serious injury during a bout taped prior to tonight’s iMPACT! taping in Orlando.
Daffney was wrestling a local wrestler by the name of Miss Betsy, who is believed to be a student from the Team 3D Wrestling Academy. The local wrestler pinned Daffney with a sitout powerbomb, leaving her motionless after taking the bump.
She stayed in the ring for twenty minutes before being stretchered out and taken to a local hospital via ambulance. Company personnel were extra careful removing the ring ropes in order to allow EMTs more space to transport her away.
Concerning Daffney’s injury, TNA president Dixie Carter wrote the following on Twitter: “Daffney injured in a dark match tonight. Taken to hospital in ambulance. She will be ok. Will let you know updates once I confirm.”
More details will be released as they become available.
