— Scott Random sent this one in: Last night, I checked out Fozzy since the venue was 3.5 miles away from home at Premier Concert Theater in Chesterfield, MI. Most of the opening bands did not impress me, but Shock Wave surprised me. The band is a trio that ranges from ages 13-15 and they were great. Around 11:15, Fozzy hit the stage and for not being familiar with any of their music, it was still a very fun show. They played for about 80 minutes. Jericho looked like he was having the time of his life, despite performing in front of a few hundred at most. I think I’m going to pick up the two latest CD’s this week.
— MVP defeated Chavo Guerrero in the dark match before the WWE Over the Limit PPV.
— The WWE Over the Limit crowd was not let into the building until 7:30PM, and were filing into the building as the PPV started.
— CM Punk received several staples to close the wound suffered in his match against Rey Mysterio at Over the Limit. He was also walking around backstage in pretty bad shape. They finished the shave job that Rey started after the match once Punk got behind the curtain. Punk was also complaining loudly backstage about how long it took the trainer to get to the ring to close his wound during the match. He was not happy to say the least.
