— Former TNA star Austin “Consequences” Creed outlasted Nick Dinsmore, Chris Wylde, Tommaso Ciampa, Scott Wright, Alex Reynolds, Brian Milonas and Chase del Monte to win the 2010 Super 8 Tournament last night. You can click here to check out a picture of Creed with the trophy and a new look.
— At yesterday’s Acid-Fest, CZW owner DJ Hyde inducted the late Michael “Trent Acid” Verdi into the Arena’s Hardcore Hall of Fame. During his speech, Hyde discussed Acid’s love of the wrestling business and his love of the wrestling fans. Acid is the second CZW alumni inducted into the hall, joining CZW founder John Zandig.
— During a match at the Ariake Coliseum, Go Shiozaki did a moonsault and landed with his knee across the throat of Hiroshi Tanahashi. The match continued with Shiozaki winning the bout, but when it was over, Tanahashi was taken from the arena in an ambulance to the hospital. The extent of his injury is not known at this time.
