— It’s likely that the season 3 NXT rookies will be announced on tomorrow night’s season 2 finale from the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. I will be there live covering the event for the website. The plan a few weeks ago was to go with 4 men and 4 women for this season.
— Missy Hyatt and Bill Apter discuss Luna Vachon at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Qy0-5-h-dDME
— The Vachon family is holding a private funeral for Luna and is not releasing any details.
— Dragon Gate USA announced that Mike Quackenbush will face Dragon Kid on September 26 in Milwaukee.
— EVOLVE announced Kyle O’Reilly vs Ricochet for September 11 in Rahway, NJ.
— ROH’s next I-PPV is Glory By Honor IX on September 11th. The promotion got good news today as they learned that the Manhattan Center (Grand Ballroom) is now officially sold out for the show. That’s about 1200 people. The card is headlined by the following triple main event:
* NO DQ – ROH Title Match: Tyler Black © vs. Roderick Strong. It’s almost guaranteed that Black loses the title here.
* Dream Tag Team Match: The Kings of Wrestling vs. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. Should be excellent.
* Tag Team Chain Match: Kevin Steen and Steve Corino vs. El Generico and Colt Cabana. Will be amazing.
I will be taking the train down to New York City on September 11th to cover this event for the site. I look forward to meeting many of you in NYC! I’ll have more details on a meeting as we get closer to the event.
