— Beulah McGillicutty was originally scheduled to appear at HardCORE Justice, but unexpectedly lost her mother recently. Tommy Dreamer posted a note on Twitter indicating that the funeral took place on Friday. As noted earlier, both Francine and Dawn Marie declined the company’s offer to appear at the event.
— As noted earlier, TNA president Dixie Carter acknowledged today that Jerry Lynn has been forced to pull out of tonight’s HardCORE Justice main event. He was scheduled to face TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam in a non-title bout.
— Fanhouse.com reached Lynn, who commented on the disappointment of having to miss tonight’s match. “I’ve been looking forward to this match for years and finally thought it was going to happen” Lynn said. Lynn and Rob Van Dam had several classic matches on ECW pay-per-views in the late 90s that included several “Match of the Year” candidates and set the standard for PPV main events at the time. “Unfortunately, I got hurt. I’m really disappointed and hopefully it will happen in the future.”
— Some changes have been made to the iMPACT! Zone to make HardCORE Justice look like an ECW show.
