Update on MLW’s New Streaming Deal With Tubi & Tessa Blanchard Situation

As noted before, Major League Wrestling recently signed a new streaming deal with Tubi to air their weekly MLW Fusion shows on the service every Thursday that started on September 17. This new deal replaced MLW’s previous television deal with beIN Sports that expired at the end of this past August.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that MLW’s new deal with Tubi is a rights feel deal for MLW’s primetime MLW Fusion show.

It was reported that this deal also includes a revenue share for MLW library integration.

It was also reported that this deal was made official this past August and close to the five year anniversary of WWE having MLW’s original deal with Tubi nixed.

In regards to the current Tessa Blanchard situation with MLW, it was reported that those spoken to stated that CMLL officials should not have been as caught off guard as they appeared by Blanchard’s interview with TMZ where she had announced she had signed a contract with MLW. Those spoken to within TMZ reported stated that CMLL reps were actually on the interview call with her.

Blanchard had been originally scheduled to make her official debut appearance for MLW at this year’s Fightland event and MLW Fusion tapings last Saturday in Charleston, South Carolina. CMLL initially clarified that Blanchard’s status with MLW was only limited to her scheduled appearance and later booked her for their show that same night resulting in her being pulled from MLW.
