— Chris Long, who worked as comedy sidekick Solid on MTV2’s Lucha Libre USA, was shot and killed Saturday night at a strip club in Doraville, Georgia. Long worked at the club as a bouncer, and the current, unconfirmed belief is that three individuals tossed out by Long and the other bouncers returned at 5:30 AM and opened fire, resulting in his death. Long tweeted earlier in the night, “Three a**holes just jobbed out to the bouncers.”

— Michinoku Pro posted on their website Saturday night that Gran Naniwa passed away on October 6th due to a heart attack. He was thirty-four years old. Naniwa was a babyface for the company and also worked for All Japan Pro Wrestling. He’s probably best known in the USA for losing in the 1995 Super J Cup to Jushin Liger and working a series of tag matches in ECW leading up to their first Pay-Per-View Barely Legal.
On behalf of everyone here on the website, we would like to extend my condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Naniwa.
