William Regal announced to the crowd at Tuesday’s RAW live event in London, England that the ongoing British tour would be his last because he is retiring soon.
Having started his career wrestling on the carnival circuit in England at the age of 15, he competed across the globe before joining World Championship Wrestling in 1993. After parting ways with the organization in 2000, he joined World Wrestling Entertainment, where he became commissioner. He has been with the company since then.
Throughout his 27-year career, Regal has won more than 60 titles worldwide, including 15 in WWE and 4 in WCW.
He recently signed a 42 month contract renewal with WWE, which puts him under contract until 2014.
