— CM Punk tweeted the following before Money in the Bank, referencing the song he came to the ring to for his final Ring of Honor appearance in Chicago: Bouncing Souls. Night Train. Get after it.

— There was a “We want Ice Cream” chant in the Allstate Arena at the PPV before the show began.

— Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov beat WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty before the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Santino pinned Otunga.
