Why WWE Didn’t Air Edge-Post SD! Segment, Austin

— The reason WWE did not air the Edge Appreciation Night ceremony from last week’s SmackDown! taping is because they filmed it for a new DVD on Edge’s career. That is expected to be released in the next few months. Rhino, Trish Stratus and others appeared as special guests in the post-SmackDown! segment. Rhino and Stratus were asked to arrive to the arena by 2pm that day so they could film interviews for the DVD. Christian and others also filmed numerous segments for the upcoming DVD.

— The latest word on Steve Austin in The Expendables 2 is that he has not signed on yet for the movie but was listed in some trade journals. Austin is aware of the publicity but actually hasn’t been contacted about doing the movie yet.
