— WWE sent out a press release earlier today announcing a partnership with American Idol alumni James Durbin, making Durbin the spokesman for the Be a STAR anti-bullying campaign. Durbin is said to be a big wrestling fan and appeared at a Be a STAR event yesterday in La Mirada, California, saying, “I’m honored to align myself with be a STAR in the effort to change the way people treat each other. Having been a victim of bullying, I’m excited to share my story and encourage people to put an end to bullying.”
— Trish Stratus says that she and Lita may be teaming up for a film. Trish told Diva Dirt, “We had gotten together about doing a remake of a movie called ‘Doctor Doom Versus the Wrestling Women’, and it’s [one of those] old school lucha [wrestling] films that are very campy. We’ve been chatting about that and we’ve had some interest for us to pursue that.”
