Backstage Update On The Rock’s WWE Future, More

— Immediately following WrestleMania 28, The Rock will be filming Fast Six, Pain & Gain and Hercules. That is expected to keep him busy through the better part of 2012.

As far as what The Rock does for WWE after WrestleMania 28, that is currently still up in the air. Vince McMahon said during a conference call several months ago that The Rock had agreed to do multiple pay-per-view events this year. There has also been talk of him wrestling at the SummerSlam pay-per-view. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.

— On this day back in 2011, WWE begin airing the current season of NXT on their website.

— John Cena vs. Kane in a Steel Cage match and CM Punk, Randy Orton, Big Show and Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry and Cody Rhodes is being advertised for the March 20th SmackDown event in Newark, New Jersey. Triple H is also scheduled to appear.
