TNA & WWE Scouting The Same Talent + The iMPACT! Rating

— Thursday night’s episode of iMPACT! Wrestling did a 1.06 (1.1) cable rating, with 1.46 million viewers. The numbers were up 17% from the 0.90 and 16% from the 1.21 million viewers from last week. The show went head-to-head with an NFL preseason game on FOX but there were no Olympics this week. The show ranked #40 among cable shows for the night, #14 among the male 18-34 demo and #15 among men 18-49. The show also jumped back up to regular numbers in the key male demographics.

— Mason Andrews (Scorpio Sky) has not signed with TNA, although there is an offer on the table. The reason that he has not signed is because he is attending next week’s big post-SummerSlam WWE tryout camp in Los Angeles and is hoping to land a contract with WWE. He doesn’t want to re-sign with TNA until he knows what the deal is with WWE.

— TNA has added TNA champion Austin Aries facing the winner of a battle royal in the main event as well as Knockouts champion Miss Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim for the Knockouts Title for this weekend’s TNA live events.
