— The newly formed alliance between WWE Champion CM Punk and Paul Heyman was an idea that was pitched just a few weeks ago. After turning CM Punk heel at RAW 1,000, WWE saw that he was still getting a lot of cheers and WWE wanted to go further with Punk’s heel turn. Considering the two are close friends and Heyman still has a ton of heel heat coming off Brock Lesnar “retiring” Triple H, Punk and Heyman together was a natural fit.
