AEW Reportedly Expected To Keep “The Butcher” Andy Williams On The AEW Roster Page Permanently

As noted before, former AEW wrestler The Butcher, real name Andy Williams, passed away earlier this month following a medical emergency incident at an indie event for Enjoy Wrestling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. AEW had dedicated the September 12th episode of AEW Collision as a tribute show to him. AEW CEO Tony Khan had recently revealed that Williams was in talks with AEW for potential outside of the ring projects and work.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that AEW officials current plan is to keep The Bucther’s profile on the roster page permanently on their website.

It was reported that this would be similar to what AEW did for Brodie Lee, real name Jon Huber, following his passing in 2020 from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in terms of the company’s tribute to him.
