— The dark main event for tonight’s WWE Smackdown taping is advertised as Big Show vs. Sheamus for the world title.

— Shane “Hurricane” Helms will appear at the Wrestling Universe store in Flushing, N.Y. on January 20th from 11AM to 1PM ET.

— There are no pro wrestling matches listed for ESPN Classic tonight.

— Gail Kim and her celebrity chef husband Robert Irvine appeared on Food Network’s All Star Family Cook-off on Sunday night.

— According to EW.com, Chris Jericho will host the new show Robot Combat League for the Syfy channel. The show will resemble a real life version of the film Real Steel, with giant robots doing battle as they are controlled by shadowboxing operators whose movements are translated to the action. Syfy president Mark Stern had the following to say about the show… “It has always been our desire — and it’s really come around perennially — to update and do Battle Bots for the new century. Can we do Real Steel? Are we at a place where you can do real bipedal robots? Every time we tried to do it [the project] was stymied by the technology.”
