Al Mandell who was involved in many aspects of the pro wrestling business including promoting, wrestling, and more passed away on December 26 at the age of 92 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mandell worked in the business for many decades for a number of promotions. He first broke into the business as a wrestler and backstage hand in the Ohio area.
Mandell also worked in Charlotte for the IWA and other promotions. He handled different backstage positions and “on screen” appearances with timekeeping and other roles. Most recently, Mandell was a top booster for the Cauliflower Alley Club and he’s credited with bringing them more paid members than any other person before.
