— The program Voces on PBS which is described as “a showcase of outstanding documentaries that celebrate the rich diversity of Latino life,” featured a look at wrestling in Mexico with “Tales of Masked Men.” The episode is currently airing through October 19.
— This past Sunday, SmackDown ring announcer Lilian Garcia appeared at MetLife Stadium to perform the National Anthem before a New York Jets home game for the ninth time as they took on the Buffalo Bills. The official WWE website has published an article highlighting her appearance, which was part of the Jets’ celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
“It makes me feel very honored,” Garcia said of her performance.
In February, MetLife Stadium will play host to Super Bowl XLVIII. Should the opportunity arise, Garcia says she would love to perform at the event.
“I would love to be able to come back here to sing for the Super Bowl,” Garcia said.
