As noted earlier here on the website, there is major backstage concern over Daniel Bryan. Despite this, WWE is currently looking at doing a Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar feud when Bryan is able to return.
According to sources, the “long-term destination is still what the old destination was” and the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view is simply a “temporary detour.” When D-Bryan returns, there are still plans to have him as the WWE Champion. How they get the WWE title back on him remains to be seen.
The source notes that if Daniel Bryan is still not ready by WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, those plans may change but the current hope is that he’ll be able to return by then.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
