Despite the earlier report of Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton being locally advertised for WWE Battleground, some different plans are in mind for WWE’s upcoming PPV events.
There is reportedly some talk backstage to hold off Roman Reigns vs. Triple H until the Night of Champions PPV. The reasoning is because that it would help push WWE Network renewals that are set to expire at the end of August. If WWE goes that route, Roman Reigns vs. Kane would happen at Battleground. The Reigns vs. Orton match would then take place at Summerslam.
