UPDATE x 2: Earlier this week, the 2014 SummerSlam DVD cover art revealed that Brock Lesnar and John Cena was the likely main event for this year’s SummerSlam. However, the image was later taken down.
WWE has now sent out a new e-mail to its mailing list with the same graphic and the following blurb on the SummerSlam main event:
“We have an early sneak peek at SummerSlam’s poster, which seems to pit John Cena against the man that brought down the streak, Brock Lesnar. August 17 can’t come fast enough!”
UPDATE: As we reported yesterday, an image for the SummerSlam DVD pre-order went up on Amazon that featured Brock Lesnar and John Cena. WWE was reportedly none too pleased that the image was made public and it’s been removed from the site.
ORIGINAL: Amazon’s listing for the 2014 Summerslam DVD features cover art with Brock Lesnar and John Cena. This doesn’t necessarily confirm that the two will fight each other, but it seems possible. A main event between Cena and Lesnar for the WWE World title has been rumored. If this is the plan, then it could mean that Cena is going to win the title at Money in the Bank.
Even if Cena vs Lesnar isn’t the plan, the poster at least confirms that Lesnar will be at the event.
