WWE has announced that former Travel Channel President Laureen Ong has been elected to the Board of Directors. Ong has thirty years of experience in the cable industry and served as COO of Hong Kong-based STAR Group Limited, where she oversaw STAR’s media and entertainment operations spanning 55 countries. She also helped to launch the National Geographic Channel as the network’s founding president and oversaw the channel’s distribution. She served as Travel Channel’s president for three years.
Vince McMahon said in a statement, “We are pleased to elect Laureen to WWE’s Board of Directors. Laureen brings more than 30 years of global media experience that will be very beneficial to the future growth of our company.”
