WWE has reportedly been discussing the idea of splitting the Bellas for some time now. It has also been reported that the producers of Total Divas wanted The Bellas to be at odds with each other on the show.

At this time, it is not known if that is why they finally pulled the trigger on the Nikki heel turn.
