WWE Talent Told To Be Very Careful On Social Media, More

— ECW Original Spike Dudley turned 44 years old on Wednesday.

— As noted earlier here on the website, WWE is now telling prospective talent to be careful what they say on social media. As you may recall, last May Jay Briscoe came under fire for threatening to shoot anyone who taught his kids that gay marriage was okay. While Briscoe apologized for the comment within twenty-four hours, the incident killed his and Mark’s chances at coming to WWE which was under consideration at the time.

The company doesn’t want talent to end up in a similar situation and is telling those who conduct tryouts to watch what they say on Twitter and Facebook.

Also, recently-released WWE NXT/developmental worker Shaun “Slate Randall” Ricker was let go for reasons other than company budget cuts. According to the report, he was cut because of his poor use of social media and an e-mail he sent during his WWE NXT tenure.

The contents of the e-mail were not disclosed, but it apparently was enough to “bury” Ricker in the eyes of the company. In addition, WWE officials were not happy with some posts he made on his Twitter account.
