WWE and Nickelodeon announced today (via press release) that the WWE Slam City series will debut tomorrow night during the NickSports programming block from 9–11 PM ET. There are 26, two-minute episodes of WWE Slam City, which features the stars of the WWE finding day jobs. The show is looked at as a key component of WWE’s larger strategy to expand its reach to kids, which represent 20% of their weekly viewership. Michelle D. Wilson, Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer for WWE had the following to say about the deal…
“This exciting partnership will allow us to bring WWE’s passionate fan base to the NickSports programming block while also creating new WWE fans through Nickelodeon’s massive audience. WWE programming reaches 3 million kids each week and we’re sure they’ll be excited to watch WWE on Nicktoons.”
