The jury trial for TNA’s lawsuit against Scott Steiner has been moved to June 2015 during a pre-trial hearing. It was originally set to happen earlier this month.
TNA sued Steiner in June 2012. They claimed he breached his contract, which was expired when the suit was filed, by bashing TNA, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Bruce Prichard and others. They want damages and an injunction to stop him from complaining. Steiner denied ever agreeing not to talk negatively about the company. He also denied that speaking out would breach his contract and that he was involved in a “concerted effort to disparage” the company and its officers. He denied that he ignored TNA’s requests that he stop and he denied that he has a legal and binding agreement with the company. Finally, he doesn’t believe TNA suffered damages due to what he said. He said his TNA contract expired and that he turned down a new deal.
