Rhyno/Kendrick/WWE Updates, The Future Of WWE Main Event?

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

— You might have recently noticed Rhyno and Brian Kendrick recently appeared on WWE’s NXT programming. WWE brought in former WWE Superstars Rhyno and Brian Kendrick to the NXT roster to give the developmental talent some time working with some other more experienced wrestlers and WWE veterans. Jim Ross reportedly had a similar philosophy when he was working with OVW, when the promotion was still a developmental territory for WWE.

— As previously reported, WWE Main Event is now off of the WWE Network for the time being due to WWE’s contract with Sky Sports that allows the UK provider to air the show in the country. Talks between the two companies “hit a snag” and that unless things change, the company won’t be able to air the show on the network until they put geo-blocking into the live network feed. That is currently set to be in place for late summer or early fall.

Due to international TV commitments, the show is going to continue to be taped before Smackdown and will be available on Hulu Plus in the US. It will not treated like a filler show until it can be made available in the US via a larger venue such as the network or a cable network.
